Tony Finau Concludes First PGA Tour Event Of 2021/22 Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah’s Tony Finau has concluded the first event of his 2021/22 PGA Tour season with a T45 at The CJ Cup.
It was not just Finau’s first event of the new season, but his first professional event since aiding the United States to victory over Europe in the Ryder Cup. Understandably, Finau was not as dialed in as he would have liked, but that was expected following the long break between tournaments.
Finau ended the tournament at 14-under-par, 11 shots back from the winner Rory Mcllroy. But on Sunday, Finau managed to post a terrific bogey-free seven-under-par round to climb the leaderboard. Five of the seven birdies coming on the front nine.
Great round from Tony! Finishes up with a birdie on 18 to shoot a -7 (65) 💥✅ Solid finish to this tournament!
-7 thru 18; -14 for the tournament

Furthermore, every round of golf that Finau played this past week was under par. On Thursday he ended four-under, Friday at one-under, Saturday at two-under, before ending with the monster seven-under-par, 65.
Finau will take another week off the tour and will not be playing at the Zozo Championship. It remains unknown when Finau will play again.
