Utah State Scores Last-Minute Touchdown To Sneak Past UNLV

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State Aggies snuck past the UNLV Rebels for a road victory in conference action thanks to a last-second touchdown.
The Rebels hosted the Aggies at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, October 16.
USU came from behind to defeat UNLV, 28-24.

The Rebels began the game with a 3-0 lead after a quick field goal.
USU responded by scoring its first touchdown on a kickoff return for a touchdown by Savon Scarver.

After the Aggies took a 7-3 lead, the Rebels jumped ahead with 14 more points in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, USU quarterback Logan Bonner connected with receiver Deven Thompkins to cut UNLV’s lead to three points at halftime.
Following the break, the Aggies regained the lead after another Bonner-Thompkins touchdown connection.

UNLV quickly bounced back to take a 24-21 lead before the end of the third quarter.
In the final minute of the fourth quarter, Elelyon Noa ran the ball into the end zone to score the go-ahead touchdown for Utah State.

With the win, the Aggies improved to 4-2 on the season, including a 2-1 record in Mountain West Conference play.
Utah State’s next game is at home against the Colorado State Rams on Friday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on CBS Sports Network and The Zone Sports Network 1280 AM.
