SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The New York Jets unsurprisingly listed former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson atop the team’s unofficial depth chart.

New York shared its unofficial depth chart on Monday, August 9.

The Jets are currently in the middle of training camp.

Wilson was listed as New York’s first-string quarterback ahead of Mike White, James Morgan, and Josh Johnson.

“QB Zach Wilson, who has received all of the first-team reps and many of the second-team reps at camp, is followed by signal-callers Mike White, James Morgan and veteran newcomer Josh Johnson,” Jets reporter Eric Allen wrote.

The move isn’t shocking since Wilson was selected by the Jets with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and the other signal-callers on the rosters don’t have much experience.

Johnson is New York’s most seasoned QB when it comes to time in the league, but was only recently signed by the organization.

Like Wilson, the other quarterbacks haven’t taken a snap in a regular season NFL game.

Tristen Hoge, a fellow Jets rookie and Wilson’s former BYU teammate, was listed as New York’s third-string left guard on the unofficial depth chart.

New York’s first preseason game is against fellow MetLife Stadium team, the New York Giants. The Giants host the Jets on Saturday, August 14 at 5:30 p.m. (MDT).
