Taylor Sander, USA Volleyball Unable To Come Back, Fall Against ROC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU men’s volleyball star Taylor Sander and USA Volleyball failed to come back against Russian Olympic Committee and lost in four sets.
Team USA played the ROC in the preliminary round of Pool B on Sunday, July 25.
The Russian squad closed sets well and took the match, 3-1.

The USA lost in total points, 98-96.

ROC won 25-23
Sander led USA Volleyball with 17 points in the loss. The former BYU hitter was 14/31 for 25.81 percent hitting on the attack. Sander was 2/4 on blocks in the match.
USA Volleyball’s next match is against Tunisia on Wednesday, July 28 at 2:05 a.m. (MDT).
