SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Basketball fans, including analysts and a former NBA player, took shots at the Utah Jazz potentially making a run to the NBA Finals.
Tweets flooded social media after the Phoenix Suns eliminated the reigning champion Los Angeles Lakers from the postseason on June 3.
After the Lakers exit from the NBA Playoffs, basketball fans were less than excited about the potential of the Jazz making a run to the Finals.

So instead of a Lakers-Clippers Conference Finals we’re going to get Denver-Utah? And instead of a NY-LA Finals, maybe Utah-Milwaukee? League’s gotta be happy about that

A Utah-Milwaukee Finals would be terrible for the game…but also the NBA also has no parity…just pick a lane and stick with it. I want to watch the best teams, not the biggest media markets.

Holy CRAP a Bucks-Jazz #NBAFinals would have to be the most interesting least watched finals since the ABA folded into the NBA. https://t.co/2tTqXxaTVK

The Jazz advanced from the first round with a 4-1 series victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Utah will play either the Los Angeles Clippers or Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Suns will play the Denver Nuggets in the other West semifinal series.
