Donovan Mitchell Erupts During Big Jazz Run Against Grizzlies

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell exploded during a big run by the Jazz during the third quarter of Utah’s first round postseason series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies hosted the Jazz for Game 4 of the series at FedEx Forum on Monday, May 31.
Midway through the third quarter, Mitchell erupted on offense and propelled a run by the Jazz.
With 5:47 to go until the final quarter, the fourth-year Jazzman sunk a two-point field goal.
Less than a minute later, Mitchell connected on a layup while getting fouled. He went on to bury the free throw.

With 4:04 left in the quarter, Mitchell rose up for a three-pointer before getting fouled by Memphis’ Dillion Brooks.
After a review, it was determined that Brooks did intend foul Mitchell.
It was Brooks’ fourth foul of the contest.
Mitchell knocked down three shots at the charity stripe and stretched Utah’s lead to 88-77.

At the end of the quarter, the Jazz had extended their advantage to 100-87.
Mitchell had 10 points in the third quarter and had 24 points in the game on 8-19 shooting.

The Jazz won the quarter, 41-33.
