Report: Utah State Aggies To Play In 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational Tournament

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State men’s basketball team will participate in the 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Rothstein reported the Aggies’ participation on Wednesday, May 19.
The tournament will also reportedly feature Oklahoma, Davidson, New Mexico State, Indiana State, East Carolina, Old Dominion, and Penn.
Rothstein reported that New Mexico State switched tournaments after originally being slated to play in the Diamond Head Classic.
ESPN Events, which runs the tournament, has Utah State’s logo featured on the Invitational’s website.
Sources: Oklahoma, Davidson, Utah State, New Mexico State, Indiana State, East Carolina, Old Dominion, and Penn will headline the 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational.

The Invitational will take place November 18, 19, and 21 on the Coastal Carolina campus in Conway, South Carolina.
Last year’s Myrtle Beach Invitational did not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Utah State was originally invited to play in the 2020 Myrtle Beach Invitational.

2021 Utah State Aggies
The Aggies are led by former UMBC head coach Ryan Odom after Craig Smith’s departure to the University of Utah.
Odom took over a USU team that ended the regular season atop of the Mountain West Conference and finished with a 20-9 overall record.
The Aggies lost in the Round of 64 in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
