SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After spending much-needed time with family, Tony Finau has returned to the PGA Tour and will be in the field for this week’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina.
Refreshed, Replenished
Finau, who is currently ranked as the 13th best player in the world, is very familiar with the tournament after debuting in 2015. His best finish came on debut when he finished in a tie for 16th. Fortunately, he has never missed the cut, his worst finish came a year ago when he ended in a tie for 60th.
Finau enters the tournament in reasonable form. He finished in a tie for 10th at The Masters earlier this year and more recently finished in a tie for 17th at the Zurich Classic playing alongside Cameron Champ.
Finau will tee off on Thursday at 5:45 a.m. while on Friday he will tee off the 10th tee at 11:05 a.m. playing alongside Michael Kim and Jimmy Walker.

Finau’s Last Month
Over the past month, since The Masters concluded, Finau has spent a lot of time at home in Arizona alongside his children and wife. He has put his dad’s hat on and gone to work while also practicing and preparing for the brutal summer of golf on the PGA Tour.
Thus far this season through 38 rounds of golf, Finau is averaging 69.998 per round, good enough for 13th on the Tour. His best attribute this season has been his strokes gained from tee to green in which he ranks 5th. Interestingly, Finau is only averaging 304 yards off the tee and is ranked 35th on the Tour.
