Tony Finau, Cameron Champ Finish Tied For 17th In Zurich Classic

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau and Cameron Champ finished tied for 17th in the Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans on Sunday.
The duo of Cameron Champ and Tony Finau finished the team event at -14 which was tied for 17th with three other pairs. Champ and Finau started the round just one shot back but fell down the leaderboard as the round went on.
They started the first hole with a par as Finau missed the birdie putt, allowing Champ to make the par putt. There was a bad lie on the second hole as they were able to save par with a putt by Champ to remain even for the round.
On the third hole, Finau made the par putt. After Champ hit the fairway bunker on the fourth hole, Finau reached the green. Champ missed the long birdie putt but Finau saved par with a short putt.

The duo picked up a par on the fifth hole as they remained even for the round. They dropped a bogey on the sixth hole as Finau couldn’t make a nine-foot putt, moving them to one-over for the round.
Finau putted in the seventh hole but it was only good for bogey, pushing them to two-over. The Rose Park, Utah native made the par putt on the eighth hole. Unfortunately, they had a double bogey on the ninth hole, for a poor finish on the front nine.
Champ and Finau stayed at four-over for the round when they picked up a par on the 10th hole. On 11, Champ made the birdie putt for their first one of the day. At 12, they bogeyed the hole to bring them back to -14 for the tournament. Finau made a nice chip on the 13th hole and Champ made the par putt.
On the par 3 14th, Finau made a nice chip outside of the green to set Champ up with an easy putt for par. On the 15th hole, Champ made a 14-foot par putt. After a par on the 16th hole, they picked up a bogey on 17. A great ending to the round with a birdie on 18.
Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith won the Zurich Classic at -20.
