SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – RSL winger Anderson Julio was not satisfied with just one goal in the first half so he scored a second one 10 minutes later.
In the 31st minute, Anderson Julio scored the first goal of his MLS career and the first for RSL this season against Minnesota United on the road. Then in the 41st minute, Rubio Rubin was in the clear when he passed the ball to the middle of the box and Julio just tapped it in.
The first goal came when Julio had the ball in attacking position when the ball went to Rubio Rubin. Rubin tripped at the top of the box but Julio recovered and blasted from about 15 feet away from the goal, which traveled far right post.

Julio is now up to two goals in just his first career MLS game. He joined the team during the offseason after playing 20 games with Liga MX club Atletico San Luis last season. Before that, he spent three seasons with LDU, playing in 109 games and scoring 23 goals.
RSL and Julio had been in contact multiple years ago prior to his move to Liga MX. It has become apparent that the communication between Julio’s team and RSL continued throughout his experience in Mexico.
