Rudy Gobert Given Technical Foul For Hanging On Rim After Massive Dunk Against Memphis

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – An NBA official assessed Jazz center Rudy Gobert a technical foul for hanging 0n the rim following a massive slam dunk against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Jazz hosted the Grizzlies at Vivint Arena on Saturday, March 27.
With 9:19 left to play, Gobert collected an offensive rebound on a missed shot by Joe Ingles.
The Jazz center rose up and crushed the iron with a thunderous slam dunk.
After the ball went through the cylinder, Gobert swung on the rim in celebration of the play.
The time on the rim was deemed excessive by one of the referees and Gobert was t’d up.

Memphis’ Desmond Bane missed the technical foul shot.
The dunk stretched Utah’s lead to 114-89.
After the play, Gobert had 16 points on 6-9 field goals. He was 4-7 at the free throw line.
The center also added 14 rebounds, one assist, and two blocks during 27 minutes on the hardwood.
So this Memphis small lineup is struggling with the 7'1 guy on the Jazz.
