SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell made an incredible pass from under the basket that set Bojan Bogdanovic up for a three-pointer.

Donovan Mitchell was driving to the basket for the Jazz when he went under the backboard and jumped out of bounds while launching a pass with his right hand to the top of the arc to Bojan Bogdanovic.

Bogey nailed the three and gave the Jazz a 55-49 lead with 27.9 seconds left in the second quarter. That was the halftime score.

Mitchell recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in the first half, on 7-of-10 field goal shooting and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. Bogdanovic had 5 points and 5 boards in the first 24 minutes of action. Jordan Clarkson and Georges Niang had 8 points apiece. Joe Ingles added 6 points off the bench as did Rudy Gobert in the starting lineup.

Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 14 points, while Brandon Ingram scored 11 points in the opening half.

The Jazz had a 10-point lead in the second quarter before New Orleans went on an 11-0 run to take a one-point lead. Utah settled down and finished the second quarter strong and had the lead at the half.

The Jazz are beginning a six game home stand with the Pelicans on Tuesday. They will play seven of their next eight games at Vivint Smart Home Arena after playing six straight games on the road earlier this month.
