SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz forward Georges Niang pump faked Zion Williamson and drove to the bucket and finished with a one-handed slam dunk.
Jazz forward Joe Ingles threw the ball to Georges Niang in the corner when he pump faked a three-pointer with Zion Williamson closing out and went to the rim and finished with a slam dunk.
The dunk gave the Jazz a 36-26 lead with 10:29 remaining in the second quarter. Before the dunk, Niang made a three-pointer. After the Pelicans answered with 6 straight points after the Niang dunk, the Jazz shooter hit another triple.
As expected, we have a Georges Niang vs. Zion Williamson duel brewing.
Niang has 8 points in the quarter, Zion Williamson up to 14 for the game.

When Niang went to the bench later in the quarter, he had 8 points, one rebound and one assist on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Niang is coming off of an 11-point performance on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. He was one of six Jazz players to score in double figures. On Sunday, Niang went 4-of-6 from the floor and 2-for-3 from the three-point line, while pulling down 3 rebounds in 13 minutes of action.
The Jazz are beginning a six game home stand with the Pelicans on Tuesday. They will play seven of their next eight games at Vivint Smart Home Arena after playing six straight games on the road earlier this month.
