Neemias Queta Becomes Utah State’s All-Time Blocks Leader In Win Over New Mexico

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State center Neemias Queta became the Aggies’ all-time leader in blocked shots during a win over the New Mexico Lobos.
The Lobos hosted the Aggies at their temporary home court at Rip Griffin Center on the campus of Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.
Behind a dominant performance by Queta, Utah State crushed New Mexico, 82-46.
It was USU’s eighth consecutive win.
With 4:08 remaining in the first half, the center swatted a layup attempt by the Lobos’ Keith McGee.

The block was No. 156 of Queta’s Utah State career and set a new school record.

Queta finished the game with 11 points on 5-10 field goals.

He added 13 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and three blocks during his time on the court.

In addition to Queta’s performance, Utah State’s Marco Anthony, Steven Ashworth, and Justin Bean all scored in double figures.
The Aggies shot 50.8 percent overall and 43.8 percent from three-point land.
New Mexico was limited to shooting 31.1 percent from the field, including 23.8 percent from beyond the arc.
The Lobos were led by Makuach Maluach’s 13 points.
With the victory, the Aggies improved to a record of 9-3 on the season and 6-0 in Mountain West Conference games.
