Jazz Scorch Nets From Downtown In Dominating Win Over Spurs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz were on fire from downtown, nailing 21 three-pointers in their 130-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday evening.
With the win over the Spurs, the Jazz have now won their first three road games and have won 10 straight true road games dating back to last season. This does not include the bubble in Orlando.
Bojan Bogdanovic led all scorers with 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field and 6-for-7 from downtown. Donovan Mitchell added 22 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. The Jazz star made 8 of his 17 shot attempts, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Jordan Clarkson chipped in 18 points off the bench. Mike Conley recorded 15 points and three triples. Royce O’Neale notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Rudy Gobert filled up the stat sheet with 7 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Joe Ingles had 13 points and 7 boards off the bench.
Keldon Johnson scored 22 points to lead the Spurs. DeMar DeRozan contributed 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Former Utah Utes center Jakob Poeltl posted 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

Jazz On Fire From Downtown vs. Spurs
Utah made 21 three-pointers in the win over the Spurs. Bogdanovic made 6 triples to lead the Jazz. Mitchell added 5 three’s. Royce O’Neale and Mike Conley each made three three-pointers. Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles each made two from beyond the arc.
As a team, Utah went 21-of-31 from downtown for 51 percent shooting. San Antonio made 31 percent of their three’s, going 6-of-19. Rudy Gay and Patty Mills each made two. Lonnie Walker IV and Luka Samanic had one three apiece.

Beginning Of Seven Game Road Trip For Jazz
The Jazz are now 4-2 on the season and 3-0 on the road. They will play six more games away from Vivint Smart Home Arena before returning to Salt Lake City. Up next will be a trip to Brooklyn to face Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and the Nets. That game will take place on Tuesday, January 5 at 5:30 p.m. MST. Then the team will head over the Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks on Wednesday, January 6 at 5:30 p.m. MST.
After the trip to New York, the Jazz will go to Milwaukee to play the Bucks on Friday, January 8 at 6 p.m. MST. All games can be seen on AT&T SportsNet.
