Utah Football Receives Commitment From Legacy Recruit Michael Mokofisi

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football received a verbal commitment from Woods Cross defensive tackle Michael Mokofisi.
Mokofisi is a three-star prospect that is the 12th ranked prospect in the state of Utah and No. 70 defensive tackle in the country.
The Woods Cross star announced his commitment on Twitter.

Mokofisi received offers from Arizona, BYU, Nebraska and USC. During the 2020 high school football season, Mokofisi had 33 tackles, two tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one pass deflection and a blocked field goal. Two of his games did not provide stats.
The Woods Cross, Utah native is the 17th player to commit to Utah in the 20201 recruiting class. He joins quarterback Peter Costelli, running back Ricky Parks, wide receiver Makai Cope, tight end Isaac Vaha, offensive linemen Zereoue Williams and Koli Faaiu, defensive tackle Tevita Fotu, defensive end Viliami Po’uha, linebackers Ethan Calvert, Mason Tufaga, Trey Reynolds, Cole Bishop and Jonah Elliss, cornerback Elisha Lloyd, safety Darrien Stewart and athlete Velltrey Jefferson.
Mokofisi is the third player from the state of Utah to commit to the Utes, including Bingham star Viliami Po’uha and Pleasant Grove standout Isaac Vaha.
