SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current Saints quarterback Taysom Hill is expected to receive his fourth straight start as New Orleans’ signal-caller, according to Saints insider Jeff Duncan of The Athletic.
Hill will reportedly start in the Saints’ Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, December 13.
“I’m told his three-game performance as the starter has only bolstered the confidence internally that he is the eventual heir apparent to Drew Brees’ job,” Duncan tweeted on Thursday, December 10.

Taysom Hill as a starting quarterback
During New Orleans’ Week 10 game against the San Francisco 49ers, Saints starter Drew Brees suffered multiple injuries, including broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
The following week, Brees was placed on the organization’s Injured Reserve, which meant he would miss a minimum of three games.
Prior to kickoff in Week 11, Saints head coach Sean Payton named Hill the starting quarterback with Brees out.
