PROVO, Utah – BYU and Coastal Carolina are two undefeated 9-0 teams that feel the College Football Playoff committee has disrespected them. Both teams are looking to make a statement on Saturday (3:30 p.m., ESPNU & KSL NewsRadio) that they belong with College Football’s elite.
The elite of college football is given a chance to contend for the College Football Playoff. Who knows if BYU and Coastal Carolina will be able to contend for the title, but they’ll at least get the chance to play a game with the Playoff Trophy on location.
The #CFBPlayoff #NationalChampionship Trophy Tour is set for a battle between undefeated 9-0 teams!

The College Football Playoff trophy will be at Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina, for the unbeaten showdown between the Cougars and Chanticleers on Saturday.
This is the third time in 2020 that BYU will play a game with the College Football Trophy on site. The previous two games were BYU road games against Navy and Houston.
According to ESPN’s Playoff Predictor, a win for BYU would give the Cougars a 47 percent of making it to the College Football Playoff this season. College Football Playoff insider Heather Dinich explained on KSL Sports’ Cougar Sports Saturday the path is there for BYU to make it to the Playoff, but many things would have to happen in front of them.
Both teams would love to play for a chance at winning the trophy this season, but they’ll have to settle for playing in front of it for now with hopes that the trophy’s committee, led by Gary Barta, values what these undefeated teams do on Saturday.
