Utah State V. Wyoming Canceled Due To COVID-19 In Aggies’ Program

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State’s game against Wyoming has been canceled due to an “upward trend” of COVID-19 within the Aggies’ program, according to the Mountain West Conference.
According to the conference, there is no plan to reschedule the game.

“Due to an upward trend of COVID-19 cases within the Utah State football program, the Aggies are unable to participate in the scheduled game on Nov. 19 at Wyoming. Therefore, the MW is canceling the game and declaring it a no contest. There is no plan to reschedule the game,” read a statement from the conference.
The game was originally slated for Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. MT. The game was going to be played at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming.
The cancelation comes after an eventful week for Utah State in which their starting quarterback, Jason Shelley, was kicked off the team.
Utah State’s next game is scheduled for November, 26 against New Mexico.
