Huxford Leads Stansbury In Upset Of No. 12 Timpview

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Stansbury Stallions upset the No. 12 Timpview Thunderbirds behind Kru Huxford’s big performance.

No. 12 Timpview 31 Stansbury 49

The Stallions hosted the T-Birds on Wednesday, October 14.

Huxford was responsibile for five touchdowns as he led the Stallions to a 49-31 win.

The Stansbury QB tossed four touchdowns through the air and ran for another on the ground.

Timpview quarterback Liu Aumavae accounted for a pair of touchdowns in the loss.

With the victory, the Stallions closed the regular season with a 7-2 record.

The Thunderbirds closed their regular season slate at 4-4.

Here are all of the results in the 4A classification from the 10th week of the high school football season.

Region 9

Crimson Cliffs 10 Desert Hills 14

After trailing the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs 10-7 at halftime, the Desert Hills Thunder scored the lone points of the second half in the fourth quarter to win 14-10. Thunder quarterback Noah Fuailetolo was responsible for both of Desert Hills’ touchdowns. With the win, the Thunder finished the regular season with a 4-6 record. Crimson Cliffs fell to 3-6.

Dixie 48 Canyon View 7

The Dixie Flyers blasted the Canyon View Falcons 48-7 on Wednesday night. Dixie quarterback Bronson Barben threw four touchdown passes in the win. The win moved Dixie to 4-5 on the season and Canyon View fell to 3-6.

Hurricane 0 No. 14 Pine View 42

The No. 14 Pine View Panthers blanked the Hurricane Tigers 42-0 on Wednesday evening. Panthers quarterback Brayden Bunnell tossed a trio of TD passes in the win. Pine View finished the regular season with a 9-1 record and Hurricane closed at 2-8.

Snow Canyon 35 Cedar City 7

The Snow Canyon Warriors soundly defeated the Cedar City Reds 35-7 behind a five-touchdown performance by Landon Frei. The Warriors quarterback threw four touchdown passes and ran for another in the 28-point win. Snow Canyon improved to 8-1 on the season and Cedar City fell to 6-4.

Region 10

Ogden 32 Ben Lomond 24

The Ogden Tigers score 19 points in the first half and added another 13 points in the final 24 minutes to defeat the Ben Lomond Scots 32-24. Ogden’s Logan Shobe ran for a pair of touchdowns in the game. The Tigers finished the regular season at 6-4 and the Scots closed with a 3-7 record.

Park City 24 Cedar Valley 21

A field goal in the second quarter was the difference in a 24-21 win by the Park City Miners over the Cedar Valley Aviators. Park City’s Seth Warner had a couple of touchdown on the ground for the Miners. The Miners closed the regular season with an 8-2 record and the Aviators finished with a 5-4 record.

Non-Region

Hillcrest (5A) 7 Mountain Crest 41

The Mountain Crest Mustangs ran over the Hillcrest Huskies 41-7 on Wednesday night. Mustangs quarterback Preston Lofthouse accounted for three touchdowns in the victory. Mountain Crest closed the regular season at 2-8 and Hillcrest fell to a record of 2-8.

Woods Cross (5A) 20 Mountain View 10

The Woods Cross Wildcats shutout the Mountain View Bruins in the second half to win 20-10 on Wednesday evening. Wildcats quarterback Jackson McCarty threw a touchdown pass in the win. Woods Cross improved to a record of 2-8 to close the regular season and the Bruins finished with a 5-3 record.
