SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake, Real Monarchs and Utah Royals FC have never been shy about joining the festivities of Pride Month that occurs annually during the entire month of June.
Pride month is the promotion of self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning people as a social group. It is a time to remember The Stonewall Rebellion, a turning point for LGBTQ+ rights in the 1960s.
Real Salt Lake, Real Monarchs and Utah Royals FC have currently changed their profile pictures across all of their social media platforms to support the initiative. The images are rainbow, the official symbol of Pride.
