SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake can now plan accordingly for their MLS Is Back tournament aspirations after Major League Soccer released the full tournament schedule.
The Claret and Cobalt, who already knew of their group D opposition, will first play their MLS rivals, the Colorado Rapids, on July 12 at 8:30 p.m. in a must-watch affair. Their second match will occur just five days later on July 17 at 8:30 p.m. when they take on Minnesota United and their final group stage clash will take place on July 22nd at 7 a.m. against Sporting Kansas City.

The club will leave Utah on July 4 and head to Orlando, to acclimatize to the heat and humidity of Florida.
The group stage matches all have regular-season point ramifications on the line. If RSL can finish in the top two spots of Group D they will qualify for the knockout rounds. The winner of the tournament will receive 2021 CONCACAF Champions League qualification. The last time RSL competed in the Champions League came back in 2015-16 when they were knocked out in the quarterfinals by UANL Tigres.
