SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has been notified on who their first three group stage matches will be against for the upcoming MSL Is Back tournament in Orlando, Florida.

RSL headline group D alongside long time Western Conference rivals Sporting Kansas City, Colorado Rapids and Minnesota United. RSL will play each team once.

“First of all it is a tough group, rivalries with Colorado, Sporting and Minnesota is a very, very good team,” Juarez said. “We are a competitive group (RSL), a tight-knit group, we are a group that has been improving in the last four years every year. We know what we have, we know who we are and we have a chip on our shoulder and are willing to compete against anyone in MLS.”

The top two teams from the group will advance to the knockout stages. All three group stages games will have regular-season point ramifications associated to them.

The tournament will start on July 8, with Orlando City and Inter Miami squaring off in the inaugural match. The final is scheduled for August 11th.

The winner of the tournament will be rewarded with CONCACAF Champions League qualification for the 2021 season.
