SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Every NFL offseason there are lists about anything and everything but what really gets people talking are the rankings of the best players in the league.
CBS Sports released their top 100 players list heading into the 2020 NFL season. These lists can be subjective. That is why KSL Sports and former NFL quarterback Scott Mitchell went head-to-head with his own top-five players in the National Football League.
Plus, he gives his take, one by one, of the CBS Sports list.
“He wouldn’t be in my top 10 of best NFL players,” Mitchell said. “He is no Marshall Faulk, no, no, no, he is not. Don’t even go there. There is nothing that can be said to change my mind [about McCaffery being a top-10 player].”The one player Mitchell dislikes the most in this top 10 is running back Christian McCaffrey. Despite combing for 2,392 rushing and passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and being second among all pass-catchers in receptions 116, Mitchell feels strongly about not having him in the top 10.
