Rudy Gobert Slams Alley-Oop Pass From Donovan Mitchell During Jazz/Celtics Game

BOSTON, Mass. – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a slam dunk on an alley-oop pass from teammate Donovan Mitchell during Utah’s game against the Boston Celtics.
Gobert, Mitchell, and the Jazz played the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston on Friday, March 6.
Mitchell found Gobert rolling down the lane towards the basketball and threw a perfect lob pass to the big man. Gobert received the pass with both hands and threw the ball through the cylinder for two Utah points. The Mitchell-Gobert connection gave the Jazz a 56-43 lead with 3:29 remaining in the first half.

The dunk was Gobert’s first made field goal of the game.
Utah maintained its advantage for a 62-49 lead at halftime.
At the break, Gobert had 2 points on 1-1 field goals, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 15 minutes of play.
Mitchell’s assist was his second of the game. He had 9 points on 3-7 field goals, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and a steal in 15 minutes on the court.
Utah was shooting 59.0 percent from the field and 59.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Boston finished the game shooting 46.7 percent overall and 35.7 percent on triples.
The Celtics were led by Marcus Smart’s 15 points.
