Gobert Caps Big Third Quarter With Alley-Oop From Trae Young

CHICAGO, Ill. – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was making a case for All-Star MVP after a fantastic third quarter performance.
He ended the quarter with a dunk that was set up by Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young. That tied the quarter score under the new All-Star format.
Team Giannis was trailing by two points in the final seconds. The team that scored the most points in each of the first three quarters will have $100,000 donated to their charity.
Entering the third quarter, both teams had won one quarter.

Gobert had 21 points through three quarters, including 12 points in the third quarter. He also had 11 rebounds, 2 assists and one block on 10-11 shooting from the field and 1-3 from the free throw line in 19 minutes.
His Jazz teammate Donovan Mitchell had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals while shooting 3-10 from the floor and 1-3 from beyond the arc in 14 minutes on the court.
By the end of the third quarter, Gobert was the third leading scorer in the game and the second leading scorer on Team Giannis that is led by Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Earlier in the third quarter, Young found Gobert for another alley-oop where the Jazz big man finished with a reverse dunk.
