CHICAGO, Ill. – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a nasty putback dunk using just one hand in the second quarter of the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.
With 15 seconds remaining in the first half, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young attempted a three-pointer when Gobert grabbed the miss with one hand and threw it down with his right hand.
It gave Team Giannis a 46-30 lead. With the new All-Star format, Team Giannis took an 87-83 lead overall.
Gobert finished the first half with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and one block while hitting 4-5 from the field and 1-3 from the foul line in 13 minutes.

His teammate from the Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal and one block on 1-5 shooting from the floor in 6 minutes.
The NBA is changed the format to the All-Star game with the winner of each quarter having money donated to the charity of that team. They will do that for the first three quarters. In the fourth quarter, they will add up the scores from the first three quarters and add on 24 points as the target score. The first team to reach that score will win the All-Star game. The 24-point target score represents Kobe Bryant’s number. He and 8 others died tragically in a helicopter crash in Southern California on Sunday, January 26.
