SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley, running back Zack Moss and defensive end Bradlee Anae are listed among the top-50 players in College Football after the regular season.
ESPN put out a preseason top-50 list before the season started and re-ranked the players after the conclusion of the college football regular season.
None of the three Utes on the postseason list was on the preseason rankings.

Moss is the highest Utah player ranked at No. 25. Here is what ESPN said about Moss.
“The first Utah player to win Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, Moss rushed for 1,359 yards and 15 touchdowns to help Utah to its second consecutive division title and an 11-1 record during the regular season. He’s sure to have an NFL future after putting the draft on hold to return this year.”
The second highest Utah player ranked was Anae at No. 28. Here is what ESPN said about Anae.
“A first-team All-Pac-12 selection, Anae was arguably the best defensive lineman in the conference and finished seventh among FBS players with 12.5 sacks. The Utes have allowed just 4.4 yards per play, the fourth-best mark in the FBS, and 70.3 rushing yards per game, which ranked No. 1.”
Rounding out the three Utah players on the list is Huntley at No. 47. Here is what ESPN said about Huntley.
“Huntley was named the first-team All-Pac-12 quarterback ahead of Oregon’s Justin Herbert (honorable mention) and the nation’s leading passer, Washington State’s Anthony Gordon (second-team). He ranked sixth nationally in QBR and threw for 2,966 yards with 18 touchdowns and four interceptions.”
The No. 1 player on the list is Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow from LSU. He wasn’t ranked in the preseason list. In fact, out of the 50 players on the postseason list, 29 were not ranked in the preseason.
Utah will be playing Texas in the Alamo Bowl, which will take place on Tuesday, December 31 at 5:30 p.m. in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
