INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Louisville Cardinals basketball fans showed up at Bankers Life Fieldhouse to see Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell play.

Mitchell and the Jazz were in Indianapolis to take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, November 27.

The Jazz guard played for Louisville from 2015-17.

Indianapolis is about 115 miles or a two-hour drive from Lousiville, Kentucky.

During his time in Louisville, Mitchell played 63 games including 38 starts. The former Cardinals guard averaged 11.9 points on 42.2 percent shooting. He also posted averages of 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

In September 2019, Mitchell and Jazz legend Darrell Griffith, who is also a Cardinals alum, judged a preseason dunk competition at Louisville.

Mitchell was drafted out of Louisville by the Denver Nuggets with the 13th pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. He was traded to Utah on draft night.

The Jazz vs. Pacers game is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet and 97.5 FM.
