NEW ORLEANS, La. – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert scored his first points in his first preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans on an alley-oop dunk that was lobbed by new Jazz point guard Mike Conley.
The play was set up in the first quarter when Conley went around a Gobert screen and drove into the paint when he found Gobert wide open as he was rolling to the basket due to former Jazzman Derrick Favors defending Conley.
It was a very easy lob for Conley to make.

To that point in the game, Conley broke a slump that he had in the loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday in their second preseason game. The veteran point guard made both of his field goal attempts along with two assists.
Against the Pelicans, Gobert is playing his first preseason game after sitting out the first two games against the Adelaide 36ers and the Bucks. The Jazz were resting him after a grueling September schedule as he was playing for the French National Team in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball.
