Jazz Experience Shooting Woes To Start Game Against Bucks

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Utah Jazz struggled to find the bottom of the basket in the first quarter of their preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Jazz were outscored 34-23 in the opening quarter of play on Wednesday, October 9.
Utah went without a field goal from 10:10 in the first quarter after an Ed Davis bucket until Donovan Mitchell made a 15-foot jumper with 5:48 left in the quarter.

During the poor stretch the Jazz were hampered by a Mike Conley turnover, an Ed Davis technical foul, and six straight missed shots.
The only points Utah was able to muster during the stretch was from the foul line.
The Jazz allowed the Bucks to on a 14-2 run in the midst of their scoring drought.
Utah played nine players in the opening quarter. Each player had a negative +/- rating with the exception of Georges Niang who played 3 minutes and Tony Bradley who played 6 minutes.
The bright spot for the Jazz to start the game was the play of Mitchell. The Utah guard was 4-7 from the field for 8 points. He also added 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
Davis also added five boards for the Jazz.
