Former Jazzman Derrick Favors Wears Donovan Mitchell’s Signature Shoes

CHICAGO, Ill. – Former Utah Jazz player Derrick Favors rocked a pair of Donovan Mitchell’s signature shoes during a shootaround session prior to an NBA preseason game.
Favors, now a member of the New Orleans Pelicans, was seen warming a pair of Adidas D.O.N Issue #1 shoes prior to a game against the Chicago Bulls.
The former Jazzman was wearing shoes in the “Iron Spider” colorway which according to ESPN’s Eric Woodyard are Favors’ favorite edition of Mitchell’s shoes.

The Jazz traded Favors to the Pelicans in July for two second-round picks. Favors was the longest-tenured member of the Jazz at the time of the trade.
Mitchell tweeted his appreciation for “Fave” following the trade.

Favors joined the Pelicans who had recently drafted Zion Williamson out of Duke with the number one pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Favors will most likely start for New Orleans alongside Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday, and Lonzo Ball.

The Jazz play the Pelicans for their third preseason game on Friday, October 11 at 6 p.m. The game will be at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
