BYU’s Game Against USF Will Be Televised On CBS Sports Network

PROVO, Utah – BYU football’s kickoff and TV info for their October 12th game against South Florida has been announced.
The Cougars who are 2-3 on the 2019 season will kickoff against USF at 1:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
This is BYU’s first appearance of the 2019 season on CBS Sports Network. The last time BYU appeared on CBS Sports Network was in the 2017 season-finale against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. BYU appeared on CBSSN three teams that season.

Since 2011, when BYU became an FBS Independent, this will be the Cougars 10th appearance on CBS Sports Network. BYU is 7-2 since 2011 on the network.
Prior to going Independent, CBS Sports Network used to be one of the primary networks that would air BYU games from 2006 to 2010 when the Cougars were in the Mountain West Conference.
This is the third game of the 2019 season that kicks off at 1:30 p.m. (MT) for the Cougar football team.
USF is 1-3 overall on the season. The Bulls take on UConn in Storrs this Saturday at 10 a.m. (MT) before hosting BYU the following week.
Members of the American Athletic Conference, South Florida is coached by Charlie Strong. The last time BYU faced a Charlie Strong-coached team was in 2014 when Strong was the head man for the Texas Longhorns. Taysom Hill and the Cougars hurdled over the Longhorns for a 41-7 victory.
In the 97 years of BYU football, the Cougars have never won a game in the state of Florida.
This will mark the first meeting between BYU and USF. The Bulls will make a return visit to Provo for the 2021 season.
