SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Utah State Aggies forced an intentional grounding penalty by San Diego State quarterback Ryan Agnew to secure their second win of the season.
The Aggies forced Agnew into the backfield for a loss of 37 yards on 4th & 10 with 35 seconds left in the game. Agnew was feet away from being sacked in the endzone and flipped the ball forward without a receiver in the area.
The QB was flagged for an intentional grounding penalty. This penalty resulted in a loss of down, giving Utah State the ball back and the ability to kneel on the ball and run out the clock for the 23-17 win on Saturday night.
Pardon, intentional grounding… same spot, turnover on downs. Utah State will just take a knee to end this game on SDSU's door.
