BOUNTIFUL, Utah – With a 35 -0 win over crosstown-rival Bountiful High, Viewmont High secured at least a share of its third-straight region championship.

Viewmont running back Robert Summerhays had a terrific outing, gathering 218 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Quarterback Dutcher Lines was responsible for 156 yards through the air and a touchdown pass as well as a score on the ground for the Vikings.

“The o-line did a heck of a job,” said Summerhays. “They left some gaping holes and it was awesome going through.”

“Our seniors are really excited because this gives them a really good chance at a championship legacy,” said Viewmont head coach Scott Ditty before the game. “I have several seniors who have been varsity players since their sophomore year so that would give them every varsity year winning that championship.”

Playoff matchup and seedings have yet to be determined.
