SALT LAKE CITY – One spectator at the FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and France was caught on camera wearing a highlighter Utah Jazz shirt.

The World Cup Final took place Lusail Iconic Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Sunday, December 18.

Argentina defeated France on penalty kicks, 4-2.

During the match, one individual, in a sea of Argentina fans, was wearing a No. 45 Jazz shirt.

Former Jazz guard and current Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell commented on the shirt shown on television.

“Gotta get buddy the new one,” the former Jazz All-Star tweeted along with three laughing emojis. Mitchell was traded by the Jazz to the Cavs prior to the start of the NBA season.

Current Jazzman Leandro Balmaro is a native of Las Varillas, Argentina, and plays for the country’s national team.

Argentina’s jerseys are primarily blue and white. However, like the sun on the country’s flag, there is a small accent of yellow.

Perhaps the individual was attempting to stand out while fitting into the color scheme.

The World Cup was an exciting and tightly contested match from start to finish. Argentina controlled the first half of action behind goals from Lionel Messi and Ángel Di Maria. In the second half, France bounced back with a pair of Kylian Mbappé goals to send the match to extra time.

After a scoreless first half of extra time, Messi gave Argentina a 3-2 lead with a goal in the 108th minute. Ten minutes later, Mbappé responded with a goal. His hat trick tied the game at 3-3, sending the match to penalty kicks.

Both Messi and Mbappé buried shots into the back of the net during penalty kicks. However, France’s Kingsley Coman and Aurélien Tchouaméni both missed on their attempts, and Paulo Dybala, Leandro Paredes, and Gonzalo Montiel, in addition to Messi, all connected on their shots, giving Argentina the win.

The victory gave Argentina its third World Cup title and its first since 1986.
