Utah got off to a quick start in their first Ft. Meyers Tip-Off Championship game against the Yellow Jackets, but Geogia Tech clawed their way back into the game by taking advantage of Utah’s turnovers, making the game a close affair. Within a three-minute span the game would be tied up four separate times. Gabe Madsen ultimately sealed up victory for the Utes grabbing an important rebound with just over one-second left while also hitting two free throws to give some cushion.

Utah was sloppy with the ball once again tallying 19 turnovers that the Yellow Jackets capitalized into points. However, despite the turnovers, the Utes pulled through- the first time since 2019 against St. Mary’s the Runnin’ Utes committed that many turnovers while still winning.
