SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time in four nights cruising to an easy 139-116 victory despite a 29 point outing from Anthony Davis.

The Lakers were without LeBron James, Lonnie Walker IV, and Patrick Beverley while the Jazz were without Jarred Vanderbilt for the second straight game.

Seven Jazz players scored in double-digits led by Lauri Markkanen’s 23 points. The Jazz moved to 9-3 with the victory.

First Quarter

The Lakers opened the game red-hot knocking own 7-9 from the field for a quick 17 points.

However, the Jazz responded by knocking down 8-12 from the three-point line in the first quarter.

Jordan Clarkson had 15 points to lead the Jazz while Anthony Davis had 10 for LA.

After one the Jazz led the Lakers 42-34.

Second Quarter

Lauri Markkanen struggled to defend Anthony Davis throughout the first half who played a bigger role in the offense with the Lakers missing three starters.

Davis had 19 points at the break on an efficient 9-12 from the floor.

Clarkson scored only two points in the second quarter, but the Jazz got seven points from Lauri Markkanen to hold onto the lead.

At the break, the Jazz led the Lakers 76-71.

Third Quarter

The Jazz opened the second half on a 10-2 run to build their lead to 13 just two minutes into the third quarter.

The Lakers tried to fight off the Jazz run behind 13 third-quarter Kendrick Nunn points.

Ultimately the Jazz shooting was too much as they knocked down 15-23 field goal attempts including five threes in the quarter.

After three the Jazz led the Lakers 115-99.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz didn’t take their foot off the accelerator to open the fourth quarter and quickly ballooned the lead to 23 points.

Both coaches pulled their starters midway through the quarter and played the end of their bench over the final five minutes of the game.

The Jazz moved to 9-3 with a 139-116 win over the Lakers.
