Jazz Run, Clarkson Blocks Pels’ Williamson In Fourth Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz opened the fourth quarter on a run against the New Orleans Pelicans before Jordan Clarkson made a highlight block on Zion Williamson.
The Pelicans hosted the Jazz at Smoothie King Center on Sunday, October 23.
At the start of the final quarter of game time, Utah owned a 93-84 lead before going on a 9-1 run.

Williamson score New Orleans’ lone point in the first couple of minutes of the fourth quarter on a foul shot.

With 8:07 to go, Williamson attempted to slam the ball on a fast break. Clarkson chased down the Pelicans star and blocked the shot while Williamson fell hard to the court. Despite boos from the Smoothie King Center crowd, the Jazzman got all ball on the swat. Williamson appeared to be okay following the play.

However, they are the third straight team the Jazz will face that is trying to integrate a major piece into the rotation after Williamson missed all of last season with a foot injury.
