SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Jazz wing Gordon Hayward looks unrecognizable with his new haircut.

The forward has experienced a notable glow-up since his days at Butler when he looked more like a character out of Hoosiers than he did a future NBA All-Star.

However, Hayward, who has been known for his coiffed haircut since establishing himself as an NBA starter appears to have taken a different direction with his latest trim.

With his latest haircut, Hayward seems to have mixed multiple styles, going back to the shag he rocked at Butler and the high and tight look above his ears.

The Charlotte Hornets forward has also ditched his patented facial hair in favor of the baby-faced look.

For reference, here is a look at Hayward from his time in college to the haircut he got while a member of the Boston Celtics.

Hayward Looking To Bounce Back With Hornets

Hayward had not had the type of success in the NBA many expected since leaving the Jazz in the summer of 2017.

After being named to his first (and only) All-Star team, Hayward helped lead the Jazz to their second round of the playoffs after upsetting the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round of the postseason.

Hayward signed with the Celtics that summer, joining Kyrie Irving on what was expected to be a title contender.

Instead, Hayward suffered a gruesome ankle injury in his first game with the Celtics which kept him out for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.

The forward played two more underwhelming seasons with Boston before signing with the Hornets on a four-year, $120 million deal.

Hayward has continued to struggle with injuries during his time in Charlotte appearing in 44 and 49 games over his first two seasons with the Hornets.

The good news for Charlotte is that Hayward is off to a strong start in the preseason. The former Jazzman is averaging 11 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 56 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the three-point line.
