SALT LAKE CITY – Fans will see significant upgrades inside Vivint Arena as they watch the Utah Jazz host the San Antonio Spurs in Tuesday night’s preseason home opener.

In addition to a radically altered roster, color scheme, and court designs, Vivint Arena features a series of new restaurants and features for the 2022-23 season.

The team announced the new upgrades ahead of Tuesday’s game.

Vivint Arena Gets Video Board Upgrades

Fans will see better resolution on the video boards inside Vivint Arena after upgrading the technology over the summer.

The video boards have been “upgraded to offer a 4 mm pixel pitch this season, improving the resolution as much as five times,” according to a release from the team.

“The upper bowl videoboards have doubled in size to 10 x 80 feet. New corner infills connect the four sides of the center-hung scoreboard, and two more screens have been added underneath to provide optimal viewing angles from every seat in the arena”

Upper Bowl Getting Premium Club

Fans may have noticed a large section of seats blocked off in the upper bowl when trying to buy seats during the summer.

That’s because the arena now features a premium club section in the upper bowl.

The premium club seating is “located between sections 121-123 and offers seating in individual lofts of 6-10 people,” according to the team.

“Club amenities include game tickets, access to all-inclusive food and beverage hospitality from appetizers and halftime snacks to dinner and dessert, casual and arena seating, and VIP parking.”

The premium club seating can be purchased as single-game rentals or season-long leases.

Vivint Arena Gets New Restaurants

Six new restaurants are coming to Vivint Arena throughout the Jazz season including Costa Vida Mexican Grill which will be featured as one of the four corner restaurants on the main concourse.

Other new restaurants include San Diablo Churros, Float On gourmet ice cream floats, and the full-service Buzzer Bar.

Wingstop will also debut during the winter, as well as a contactless American Express grab-and-go market in early 2023.

The six new stops help make up Vivint Arena’s 15 Utah-based restaurant partners for game night.

The team is also introducing the Crumbl Crew who will give out cookies to fans inside the arena at game nights, as well as the Utah Jazz Breakers, a new hip-hop dance troupe.

Broadcast

The Jazz and Spurs will tip off at 7 pm and will be televised on AT&T SportsNet and can be heard on 97.5 The KSL Sports Zone. The games will also be streamed on DirecTV Stream and FuboTV.
