Windhorst: Several Teams Bidding For Jazz Bogdanovic

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic is a hot commodity in trade talks around the NBA according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
In an appearance on NBA Today, Windhorst discussed the sharpshooting Jazz forward.
“It would not surprise me if the Suns get involved for Bojan Bogdanovic from the Utah Jazz who is available on the market right now,” Windhorst reported. “Several teams are bidding for him.”

Bogdanovic is in the final year of his contract with the Jazz and is viewed as the type of player who could elevate a playoff team to contender status with a trade.
The Suns made the Finals in 2021 where they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks and were eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the playoffs this summer.
“They’re in trade negotiations right now,” Windhorst said of the Suns. “A lot of them are centered around Jae Crowder. Jae Crowder is a player who is available on the market right now.”
Crowder spent two seasons with the Jazz between 2017 and 2019 before he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for Mike Conley.
The salaries for Bogdanovic and Crowder don’t line up in a trade, so the Jazz would have to take additional players back in the deal for it to match NBA requirements.
That could complicate any deal between the two teams as the Jazz already have 17 players under contract for next season, two more than the maximum allowed on opening night.

Last week CEO Danny Ainge joked that the Jazz were not looking at adding more players to the roster before training camp which begins next week.
The Jazz are reportedly looking for additional draft capital in exchange for Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley, and Bogdanovic according to ESPN’s Zach Lowe.
“From what I’ve been told around the league, the Jazz feel all three of those guys are worth a first-round pick,” Lowe said on the Lowe Post podcast.
Last season Bogdanovic averaged 18.1 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Jazz in 69 appearances.
