SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz shared fans’ reactions to Saturday’s game-winning alley-oop between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert on Twitter.

The Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 to even the series at two games apiece, and send the matchup back to Dallas for a pivotal Game 5 Monday.

In the video, fans of all ages are seen cheering the arena, in their homes, in their cars, sharing their jubilation for the come from behind win.

Mitchell scored five consecutive points for the Jazz in the final minute of the game to keep them close to Dallas, including a crucial three-point play with 31 seconds left to play to cut the Mavericks’ lead to just one.

After a pair of missed free throws by Mavericks center Dwight Powell, Gobert corralled the rebound and gave Mitchell the ball to set up the Jazz’s final offensive possession.

Gobert set a screen for Mitchell who was being defended by Dallas’s Dorian Finney-Smith, and quickly cut to the basket where the All-Star guard found the Jazz big man for the game-winning dunk.

The Mavericks had a chance to win the game with one final possession, but guard Spencer Dinwiddie missed the game-winning three-pointer, and the Jazz held off Dallas 100-99.

The fan reactions were fueled not just by the importance of the alley-oop in Game 4 itself, but due to the ongoing narrative of a disconnect between Mitchell and Gobert on the floor.

Earlier this month, the conversations around the two Jazz All-Stars grew so prominent that head coach Quin Snyder addressed the matter and the lack of passing between Mitchell and Gobert.

Let’s not try to drive a wedge between some of these players,” Snyder said. “Especially using numbers — we should be more responsible.”

The Jazz and Mavericks will tip-off Game 5 Monday at 7:30 pm MT and can be heard on KSL NewsRadio and The Zone Sports Network. The game will be televised on TNT, AT&T SportsNet, and FuboTV.
