SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz snapped their five-game losing streak with a 122-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers at Vivint Arena.

Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points to lead the Jazz who had their full starting lineup back for the first time since March 9.

Rudy Gobert added 25 points and 17 rebounds while Russell Westbrook added 24 for the Lakers.

Neither LeBron James nor Anthony Davis were available for the Lakers due to injury.

First Quarter

Mitchell got off to a quick start scoring 10 points on 4-5 shooting in the first quarter to lead all scorers.

The Lakers were able to keep up with the Jazz offense by grabbing four offensive rebounds that led to 10 second-chance points.

Dwight Howard led the Lakers with seven points and four rebounds in the opening quarter.

After one, the Jazz led the Lakers 34-28.

Second Quarter

With the starting lineup back for the Jazz, Quin Snyder opted to go with Juancho Hernangomez over Rudy Gay as the backup forward, a significant change to the team’s rotation

Hernangomez added five points and an assist on 2-2 shooting in the first half.

The Lakers were led by Howard who had 15 points and seven rebounds at the break, while Mitchell had 19 points, and Rudy Gobert added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

At the half, the Jazz led the Lakers 66-55.

Third Quarter

The Lakers opened the third quarter on a 14-9 run to trim the Jazz lead to just six over the first four minutes of the quarter.

However, the Jazz answered with a Greg Monroe three-point play and a Jordan Clarkson three to rebuild their lead to double-digits which they held onto for most of the quarter.

Mitchell had 27 points through three quarters while Howard and Westbrook had 21 points each for the Lakers.

After three, the Jazz led the Lakers 99-85.

Fourth Quarter

The Lakers trimmed the Jazz lead to 10 midway through the fourth quarter and had an opportunity to trim it to just seven, but Malik Monk missed an open three.

Bojan Bogdanovic answered the miss with a three of his own to give the Jazz a 13 point lead with 4:47 left in the game to seal the win.

Mitchell finished with 29 points on 11-20 shooting while Westbrook had 24 points for the Lakers.

The Jazz snapped their five-game losing streak with a 122-109 win over the Lakers.
