SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz got a convincing win over the Chicago Bulls 125-110 fueled by a brilliant 37 point performance from Donovan Mitchell.

The All-Star guard scored 25 points in the third quarter and set a franchise record by making seven threes in the period.

With the win, the Jazz kept pace with the Dallas Mavericks with a record of 43-26.

First Quarter

With three players out due to injury, Juancho Hernangomez made his first start for the Jazz.

The Jazz opened the game a little too carelessly committing five turnovers and missing 5-10 from the free-throw line.

Donovan Mitchell committed two of the turnovers but score six first quarter points on 2-4 shooting from downtown.

After one, the Jazz and Bulls were tied at 27.

Second Quarter

While Mitchell carried the scoring load in the first quarter, it was Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson who did the heavy lifting in the second.

After snapping out of a month-long slump in Monday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Conley scored 14 points in the first half against Chicago on 4-8 shooting.

Clarkson meanwhile added 15 points to single-handedly outscore the Bulls’ second unit by three.

At the half, the Jazz led the Bulls 54-49.

Third Quarter

While Conley and Clarkson carried the Jazz in the second quarter, it was all Mitchell in the third.

The All-Star scored 25 of the team’s 35 points in the quarter while setting a franchise record by hitting seven three-pointers in the frame.

After his explosion, Mitchell had 33 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Through three quarters, the Jazz led the Bulls 92-81.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz got a complete effort from their backcourt as Nickeil Alexander-Walker took over the scoring responsibilities in the fourth quarter.

The newest Jazzman scored 16 points, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded two steals on 4-7 shooting off the bench.

Mitchell finished with 37 points as the jazz got a runaway victory at home over Chicago.

The Jazz beat the Bulls 129-114.
