SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz blew another double-digit second half lead and fell to the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks 117-111.

The Jazz led Milwaukee 91-80, but allowed the Bucks to finish the game on a 37-20 run to earn the victory.

The loss marked the Jazz 12th blown double-digit lead of the season resulting in a loss.

First Quarter

The Jazz got off to a scorching hot start against the Milwaukee Bucks by knocking down an incredible 10 first quarter three-pointers.

The Jazz shot 10-18 overall led by Donovan Mitchell who shot 3-6 from downtown for 14 points.

Mike Conley and Royce O’Neale each knocked down 2-3 three-point attempts, while Danuel House Jr., Rudy Gay, and Jordan Clarkson added threes of their own.

However, the Bucks countered by shooting 16-25 in the first quarter, and after one, the Jazz led Milwaukee 39-37.

Second Quarter

After a red-hot first quarter, the Jazz cooled off considerably in the second quarter knocking down just 5-20 from the floor and 1-8 from the three-point line.

Already playing without Bojan Bogdanovic, the Jazz were extra shorthanded when they ruled Danuel House Jr. out for the remainder of the game due to a knee injury.

The Bucks outscored the Jazz 31-20 in the second quarter led by 17 first half points by Antetokounmpo.

At the break, the Jazz trailed Milwaukee 68-59.

Third Quarter

The Jazz opened the third quarter on a 10-0 run and took a 69-68 lead midway through the period.

Conley played his best basketball since before the All-Star break recording 21 points and six assists against Jrue Holiday and the Bucks through three quarters.

But despite building an 11 point lead, the Jazz let Milwaukee close the third quarter on a 9-2 run.

After three, the Jazz led Milwaukee 93-89.

Fourth Quarter

The Bucks continued their run into the fourth quarter outscoring the Jazz 18-7 to open the period and building a 107-100 lead.

Ultimately Milwaukee’s defense took over the game in the second and fourth quarters which proved to be too much for the Jazz to overcome.

Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 29 points, eight assists, and six rebounds while Giannis Antetokounmpo added 30 for Milwaukee.

The Jazz fell to the Bucks in Utah for the first time since 2001, 117-111.
