SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz rookie guard Jared Butler beat the buzzer to end the third quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

Jared Butler had the ball with four seconds remaining in the third quarter when tried to split two defenders before dribbling to his right and drills an 18-foot jumper.

That jumper gave the Jazz a 100-88 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Butler had two points, two rebounds and four assists in nine minutes on the floor. Through three quarters, Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz with 30 points. Donovan Mitchell had 23 points, while Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 points. Hassan Whiteside was up to six points and 14 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Roughly 45 minutes before tip-off the Jazz announced that Gobert would miss the game against the Kings due to a left foot first Metatarsal Phalangeal joint sprain.

Gobert also played 31 minutes in the loss recording 13 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocks in San Antonio.

Reserve guard Trent Forrest missed the game with a sprained wrist.

The Jazz weren’t be the only team on the floor dealing injuries, however.

The Kings announced earlier in the day that starting big man Domantas Sabonis would miss tonight’s contest due to personal reasons. Moe Harkless and Jeremy Lamb were listed as game-time decisions for the game.

The Jazz would also be without third-string center Udoka Azubuike who suffered a serious ankle injury Thursday night while playing for the Salt Lake City Stars.

That will left the team with only one true center on the roster in Hassan Whiteside who had an impressive 13 points, 10 rebound double-double in just 16 minutes against the Spurs.

Bojan Bogdanovic returned to the floor after missing Friday’s game with a leg bruise.

The Jazz and Kings can be heard on The Zone Sports Network. The game will be televised on AT&T SportsNet and FuboTV.
