Utah Basketball Standouts Carlson, Stefanovic Receive All-Pac-12 Honors

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah basketball standouts Branden Carlson and Lazar Stefanovic were named to All-Pac-12 teams on Tuesday morning.
The All-Pac-12 teams, along with the individual awards were announced and Branden Carlson and Lazar Stefanovic were awarded for their strong performances this season.
Carlson was named second team All-Pac-12, while Stefanovic received Pac-12 All-Freshman team selection. It’s the first All-Pac-12 selection of Carlson’s career. He is the 12th Utah basketball player and the 10th straight season that a player from the program was selected to the All-Pac-12 team.
Stefanovic is the second Runnin’ Ute to be named to the freshman team, joining Timmy Allen in 2019.

Pac-12 Individual Awards
Arizona was one award away from sweeping the individual awards. Bennedict Mathurin was named the Player of the Year. Christian Koloko is the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player. Former Ute Pelle Larsson earned Sixth Man of the Year and Tommy Lloyd is the Coach of the Year.
The only individual award that wasn’t won by a member of the Arizona Wildcats was the Freshman of the Year, which went to Stanford standout Harrison Ingram.
The Runnin’ Utes are the 11-seed in the Pac-12 Tournament at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. They will face 6-seed Washington on Wednesday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Networks.
