Mountain West Tournament Bracket, Schedule Released For 2022 Season

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Mountain West Tournament is set for the 2022 field at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The league announced brackets and tip-times after the regular season.

All 12 Mountain West teams look towards pursuing a chance at clinching the league’s automatic bid to March Madness.

The action begins on Wednesday, March 9, and runs through Saturday, March 12, with the MWC Championship game.

Bracket Matrix currently projects four teams from the MWC to make the NCAA Tournament. Those teams are the top-four seeds in this year’s league tournament in No. 1 Boise State, No. 2 Colorado State, No. 3 San Diego State, No. 4 Wyoming.

As of Sunday afternoon, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Wyoming as one of the “Last Four In” to the field of 68. So the Pokes need to make a run at the Thomas & Mack to lock up their NCAA Tournament status.

Utah State enters its first Mountain West Tournament under the direction of head coach Ryan Odom. This season, Odom led the Aggies to a 17-14 overall record and an 8-10 record in MWC play. The Aggies are the 7-seed and will open against 10-seed Air Force on Wednesday.

Utah State is looking for its third conference tournament title in four years and its fourth consecutive championship game appearance. Last season, Utah State lost to San Diego State in the title game.
