SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah football program sent the Ty Jordan family a very nice and memorable gift from the Rose Bowl Game.

Utah played in their first ever Rose Bowl Game after winning the program’s first Pac-12 Championship in a season highlighted by remembering Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe.

Jordan’s aunt Takka Jordan posted a photo of a framed Rose Bowl jersey with Jordan’s number 22, while sharing her appreciation.

“Utah football and fans, I want to say thanks,” Jordan posted on Twitter. “Words can’t express the love and respect our family has for y’all. The love and support y’all have shown us has been simply amazing. Y’all are the true definition of family. We love y’all.”

All season, Utah has had two lockers full of equipment and uniforms for Jordan and Lowe, along with the uniform combination that the players wore.

Ty Jordan, Aaron Lowe Honored At Rose Bowl Game

The University of Utah football team held their traditional Moment of Loudness during the fourth quarter of the Rose Bowl Game against Ohio State.

It’s the second time away from Rice-Eccles Stadium that Utah football has held the Moment of Loudness. The first time was during the Pac-12 Championship game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During a timeout in the fourth quarter of the Rose Bowl, the stadium played the video that is played at every home game between the third and fourth quarter at Rice-Eccles Stadium that is narrated by head coach Kyle Whittingham.

Fans shined their lights and got loud in the Rose Bowl Stadium. The moment of loudness is to honor the lives of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe. Jordan passed away on Christmas Day in 2020 to an accidental gunshot wound in Denton, Texas. Lowe was tragically shot and killed at a house party in Sugarhouse on Saturday, September 26.
